Starlink is rolling out aggressive price cuts to entice new users, offering both hardware and service incentives designed to drive sign-ups.
Big Discounts on Equipment
The Standard Starlink kit—normally priced at $349—is now available for just $175. That’s a 50% discount, and it applies to both new and returning customers. Moreover, this promotion extends to most service plans, including both Residential and Roam offerings.
Reduced Monthly Rates for First-Year Subscribers
New customers in select regions can enjoy promotional pricing for a full year. Residential service now starts at $99 per month, down from $120, while the Residential Lite plan drops to $65, down from $80. Depending on where you're located and which plan you choose, you could save up to $427 in your first year alone.
Who Qualifies—and What to Watch Out For
These savings are targeted at new customers only, and limited to one active service line. If you switch your plan, cancel your service, or are suspended, the discounted rate ends.
Starlink’s Expansion and Network Performance
The push to lower prices comes at a time when Starlink is experiencing rapid growth. The company added over 2.7 million new subscribers globally in the past year, bringing its total to more than 6 million. In the U.S., the subscriber base has grown by 40%.
Importantly, Starlink’s network is improving alongside demand. As of July 2025, U.S. users report median download speeds over 180 Mbps during peak hours and latency under 25 ms—a level of performance that underscores the infrastructure upgrades made possible by SpaceX’s deployment of thousands of satellites.
Summary
Standard kit is now $175 (50% off), available to new and existing users.
New subscribers save on monthly fees: Residential down to $99/mo, Lite plan at $65/mo.
Restrictions apply—only valid for new accounts and one line.
Starlink is scaling fast—adding millions of users and delivering better performance.
